| ▪ Locate geographical positions and altitudes of the different types of TLEs and TGFs source regions;
▪ Map the sources and define the occurrence rates as regards to the geographical and invariant coordinates (in particular for the strengths and spectra of TGFs), the geomagnetic activity, the season, LT, etc.
|
▪ Cameras and photometers;
▪ Gamma rays, X rays
▪ Relativistic and high energy electrons.
|
▪ Identification/characterization of TLEs and TGFs;
▪ Localization of the source regions of TLEs and of their altitudes; for the altitude identification, compare with other spacecraft data (e.g. ASIM) and with ground-based optical and infrasound data;
▪ Localization of the source regions of TGFs and of their altitudes (for the altitude identification, extend the gamma ray spectrum to low energy then derive the altitude from the observed attenuation at low energy).
